Troubleshooting
When TikTok shows you an error, you need a fix — not a wall of documentation. Find your exact message below.
“This video is not eligible to be linked to products”
TikTok has detected the video doesn't meet requirements for product linking — usually due to content policy, sound licensing, or video structure issues. Does not mean the account is suspended.
See fix →“Your product listing has been removed”
TikTok has taken down a product listing from your Shop, typically due to a policy violation in the listing content, prohibited product category, or intellectual property complaint. The listing is no longer visible to buyers and cannot be linked in videos until resolved.
See fix →“Your store is under review”
TikTok is conducting a review of your seller account, typically triggered by a spike in complaints, a flagged listing, or a routine compliance check. During review, some store functions may be limited but your existing listings usually remain visible. This is not the same as a suspension.
See fix →“Your commission rate is below the minimum threshold”
TikTok requires a minimum affiliate commission rate for products listed in the affiliate marketplace. If your rate falls below this threshold, the product is automatically removed from affiliate discovery and creators cannot earn commission by promoting it.
See fix →“Your account is not eligible for TikTok Shop”
TikTok has determined the account does not meet the requirements to access TikTok Shop features, either as a seller or as a creator in the affiliate program. This can be due to account age, follower count, region, or a previous policy violation on the account.
See fix →“This sound is not available for commercial use”
The audio in the video is rights-protected and not licensed for commercial content. TikTok automatically detects this and blocks the video from being monetized or linked to Shop products. The video can still be posted as organic content but cannot generate revenue.
See fix →“This video has been removed for violating our Community Guidelines”
TikTok's automated systems or human reviewers determined the video violated one or more Community Guidelines. The video has been taken down and a strike may have been added to the account. The specific guideline violated is listed in the notification in your inbox.
See fix →“This video is under review”
TikTok's automated system has flagged the video for human review before or after it goes live. The video may have limited distribution during this period. Most reviews complete within 24–48 hours — the video is either cleared and distributed normally, or removed with a violation notice.
See fix →“Failed to upload video”
The video could not be processed or uploaded to TikTok. This is usually a technical issue with the file format, size, or network connection rather than a content policy issue. It does not affect account health.
