“Your account has been temporarily suspended”
TikTok has placed a temporary restriction on the account due to a Community Guidelines or Terms of Service violation. During suspension, the account cannot post, comment, go live, or interact with other content. The suspension has a defined end date shown in the notice, or can be appealed.
Common causes
- Multiple Community Guidelines violations within a short period accumulated enough strikes for automatic suspension
- A single severe violation (hate speech, dangerous misinformation, or similar high-severity content) triggered immediate suspension
- Spam or inauthentic behavior was detected (mass following, bot-like posting patterns)
- The account was reported by a large number of users in a short period
How to fix it
Check the suspension notice for the end date
Temporary suspensions range from 24 hours to 30 days depending on severity. The notice will show the exact end date — if the duration is acceptable, waiting may be faster than appealing.
Appeal if you believe the suspension was applied in error
Tap Appeal in the suspension notice. Write a specific appeal: reference the exact violation cited, explain why you believe it was incorrectly applied, and include any supporting evidence. See the full appeal guide at kalibratr.com/guides/how-to-get-tiktok-account-unsuspended.
Do not create a new account
Creating a new account to circumvent the suspension violates ToS and will result in the new account being banned. TikTok links accounts by device, phone number, and IP address.
Review and remove problematic content while suspended
While suspended, review the content that triggered the action and remove or edit anything that could trigger a second suspension when the account is restored.
Post conservatively for the first 2 weeks after the suspension lifts
Avoid high-volume posting immediately after reinstatement. The account's trust score needs time to recover — aggressive posting during this window increases re-suspension risk.
Account health impact
A suspension significantly lowers your AHR score and may affect TikTok Shop seller access even after the suspension period ends.
