“This video is not eligible to be linked to products”
TikTok has detected the video doesn't meet requirements for product linking — usually due to content policy, sound licensing, or video structure issues. Does not mean the account is suspended.
Common causes
- Video contains a sound not cleared for commercial use
- Video was filmed primarily showing a competitor's branded product
- Caption or video contains prohibited claims (health claims, price guarantees)
- Account is new and hasn't completed TikTok Shop seller verification
- Video resolution or length doesn't meet minimum Shop requirements (must be at least 3 seconds, 720p+)
How to fix it
Check the sound
Swap to a track from TikTok's Commercial Sound Library — all tracks there are cleared for business use and won't block product linking.
Review your caption for banned keywords
Use TikTok's policy guidelines to scan for prohibited claims. Health outcome guarantees, price comparisons, and specific performance claims are common triggers.
Ensure your seller account verification is complete
Log in to Seller Center and check your account status. Unverified seller accounts cannot link products to any video.
Re-upload the video after making changes
The eligibility check reruns on each upload. Editing an existing video does not re-trigger the check — you need to delete and re-upload.
Contact TikTok Shop support if the issue persists
If all the above are in order and the error still appears, contact TikTok Shop support through Seller Center with your video URL and account details.
Account health impact
This error does not affect your Account Health Rating — it is a video-level eligibility check, not a policy violation.
