“Your product listing has been removed”
TikTok has taken down a product listing from your Shop, typically due to a policy violation in the listing content, prohibited product category, or intellectual property complaint. The listing is no longer visible to buyers and cannot be linked in videos until resolved.
Common causes
- Product description contains prohibited claims (medical, health outcome, or performance guarantees)
- Product is in a restricted or prohibited category (certain supplements, electronics, regulated goods)
- A brand or IP holder filed a counterfeit or trademark complaint
- Listing images show prohibited content or misleading before/after comparisons
- Product title contains restricted keywords flagged by TikTok's automated review system
How to fix it
Check your email and Seller Center notifications
TikTok sends a removal reason to your registered email and to the Seller Center inbox. The reason determines which fix applies — read it before making any changes.
Edit the listing content
Remove any outcome claims, replace restricted keywords, and update images. Be specific: if TikTok cited a prohibited claim, remove that exact language from every field — title, description, and bullet points.
Provide proof of authenticity if the removal was IP-related
You will need to provide documentation proving you are authorized to sell the product: supplier invoices, brand authorization letters, or official distributor agreements.
Resubmit the listing for review
After making corrections, resubmit through Seller Center. The re-review typically takes 1–3 business days.
Use the appeal function if you believe the removal was an error
In Seller Center, go to My Products → Removed and use the Appeal option. Include a specific explanation of why you believe the removal was incorrect and attach any supporting documentation.
Account health impact
Repeated product removals, especially for IP violations or prohibited claims, will negatively affect your Account Health Rating and can lead to store restrictions.
